About Complete Builders
A new company, run by people with around 20 years of construction experience, working across Herefordshire and Monmouthshire.
Why we're upfront about being new
You'll find building companies that have been trading for thirty years and still do poor work, and new companies run by people who have spent their entire careers on site. The name above the door tells you less than people think.
So here's the honest position. Complete Builders is a newly established company. The people behind it have around two decades in construction — extensions, conversions, structural alterations and renovation work, mostly on residential property of the kind you find across these two counties.
What we can't offer yet is a long list of Complete Builders projects and reviews under this name. That will come, and when it does you'll see real photographs of real jobs on this website rather than stock images. Until then, we'd rather show you nothing than pass off someone else's work as ours.
What we do instead
We put the protections in writing. Every one of these is agreed before work starts, and none of them depend on trusting us on the strength of a website.

How we work
First conversation
Tell us what you're thinking of doing. We'll be straight with you about whether it's realistic for the property and the budget you have in mind.
Free site visit
We come and look at the house — access, ground conditions, the existing structure, drainage, where the work actually has to happen. This is where most surprises get found.
Design, planning and drawings
Where drawings are needed we coordinate the architect and structural engineer, and handle the planning or permitted development route and the Building Regulations application.
Written quotation
An itemised quotation setting out the scope of works, what's included, what isn't, and the payment stages. You get it in writing before you commit to anything.
Contract and start date
A written contract, a staged payment schedule and a programme with a realistic start and finish date.
The build
One point of contact throughout. Regular updates, trades coordinated, the site left tidy at the end of each day.
Handover
Sign-off with Building Control where applicable, certificates handed over, snagging done, and your workmanship guarantee in writing.
What we won't do
Some of this is worth saying out loud, because plenty of the industry does the opposite.
We won't quote without seeing the property. A price given over the phone for a job nobody has looked at is a number designed to win the work, not to be kept.
We won't take a large payment up front. Staged payments tied to completed work protect you, and they're standard practice for anyone confident in their programme.
We won't tell you a wall is fine to remove without an engineer. Structural work gets calculations, and Building Control gets involved.
We won't disappear once you've paid. One point of contact, and a workmanship guarantee in writing.
